Arts Avenue is excited to bring to you a full-length non-musical dramatic presentation of Les Miserables, adapted by Tim Kelly from the novel by Victor Hugo. This gripping version is the story of ex-convict, Jean Valjean, and his relentless pursuit by Inspector Javert. Filled with fascinating vignettes of 19th Century France, you will meet a brilliant cast of characters who weave an exciting tapestry of humankind at its best and worst. All with an undercurrent of love and forgiveness.
Performances will be held at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene, 4051 E. University Avenue.
* Special Note: This show has some serious and heavy themes. While this particular version is clean and doesn’t deal directly with some of the heavier themes in the novel or in the musical version, it does have a battle scene with guns and it does mention suicide briefly.
