We are excited to be producing the non-musical version of Les Miserables, based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo, this spring with our Senior Production class. Les Misérables is the story of Jean Valjean, a prisoner who breaks parole, and the police inspector, Javert, who tries to hunt him down for breaking parole. Valjean tries to help a poor factory worker, Fantine, by saving her child, Cosette, from innkeepers who are holding her captive as a slave. Marius, a war veteran during the battles of post-French Revolution, falls for Cosette, but their lives change forever during the June Rebellion.
Once your child is registered for this class, students will receive detailed information on auditions which will be held on Monday, January 28th at 6:00pm. Everyone registered in the class is in the show – these auditions are just for parts. Performances will be May 30-June 1 with full run-throughs and technical rehearsals on May 25-May 29. Please note that full rehearsals and technical rehearsals will be held on Memorial Day Weekend.
