I’ll Be Home for Christmas
This fall we are excited to be producing Deborah Craig-Claar and Mark Hayes musical “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”! This moving story is a 1940’s, radio-hour style musical about family and hope in the golden days of radio. You’ll hear some of your favorite Christmas songs and some new songs all with a 1940’s big band/swing feel! It will certainly put a song in your heart and a smile on your face!
Class Times: Mondays 5:45-8:15 pm. The first class will be on August 31st and will go through until the performance in December. There will be no class on Labor Day or on the week of Thanksgiving. There will also be several Saturday rehearsals from 10:45am-12:00pm for many of the students. Students will be given a detailed rehearsal and performance schedule once classes begin.
Auditions for parts will be held on Saturday, August 22nd. Once a student is registered for the class, they will be sent an email with all of the audition information along with what they will need to have prepared. The email will also include a link to sign up for an audition time slot. Students will audition in groups of 13 to help us keep the number of students in the studio to a minimum.
This year, due to Covid-19, our performances will look a little different. We will be recording one live performance for family members only on Friday, December 18th. We will record that performance and will then stream it for the public on Saturday, December 19th and Sunday, December 20th. Students will receive detailed information on all of that as we get get closer to December.
TUITION and FEES: Tuition for “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” is $100 per month (September through December). Arts Avenue does not charge a production or costume fee for this class and we provide all costumes, props, and sets.
